Cyberpunk 2077 Is Getting a Metro System This Week

Cyberpunk 2077 has had a trying time, but fortunately, numerous patches have seen us finally get the game CD Projekt Red promised. However, one thing has been sorely missed from the dystopian RPG, which the studio is now rectifying.

As part of the 2.1 update

In a recent video uploaded to the Cyberpunk 2077 YouTube channel, CDPR has said that not only will the Ultimate Edition be coming this week, but the game will be getting updated to version 2.1.

Among adding in new vehicles and updating the Adam Smasher boss fight, Cyberpunk will also now be getting a metro system. The developer has acknowledged that it’s something that fans have been wanting for a while.

While it wasn’t the plan to officially implement it, it was announced that a metro system “could be achievable,” so the team decided to go ahead with it. There already was an unofficial mod, so now there will be an official one put in my CD Projekt Red itself.

The video goes on to show that metro stations can be used as a fast travel point or as a proper “ride experience.” There will be 19 stations in total once the update begins to roll out, which is happening on December 5.

The Phantom Liberty DLC, – released in September – represented the next step forward for Cyberpunk. Not only did it implement plenty of changes and improvements to the base game, but it brought with it new content and a new story.

Coming up to the third anniversary of the game, it’s hard to imagine that Cyberpunk 2077 went from being one of the most controversial releases of this generation to a celebrated CDPR release. However, despite the improvements that have been made, some may still feel the sting of that initial release.
