Developer Treyarch Studios has teased something to do with Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombies on Twitter and now fans are getting hyped over the possibilities. The short GIF tease is accompanied by a date. Some eager users are hoping for this to be a third map release date, though the game has only recently gotten its second map. Others are aware of the time that an official Call of Duty video leaked an “Outbreak Mode,” and believe that to be the incoming content.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombies map 3 release date or Outbreak Mode incoming?
Following the tease of the new Black Ops Cold War Zombies update on Twitter, many jumped to the conclusion that February 25 was the release date of a third map. Though it’s possible, this does not seem to be the case.
Instead, February 25 likely points towards the “Outbreak Mode” which was leaked alongside teasers for Season 2. If Outbreak Mode is indeed coming to Black Ops Cold War for Season 2, players can expect large-scale zombie warfare for the new season.

The above tweet shows a village setting where the zombies mode could take place. Or, for those optimistically waiting for a third map to release, the potential location of Map 3!
Fans don’t have to wait long to see what Treyarch has been teasing. Whatever it is will launch on February 25, implemented with the other Black Ops Cold War Season 2 content.
