The Sonic The Hedgehog movie was, perhaps surprisingly given all the controversy surrounding it, one of the biggest movie hits of last year. Things seem to be running smoothly on the sequel, with the Sonic Movie 2 release date being tied down to April 2022 (although that could always change given the current climate). Beyond that fans haven’t had much information or any Sonic Movie 2 leaks, at least until today, as a big Sonic Movie 2 Knuckles leak has seemingly confirmed the popular character’s appearance and what he looks like.
First leaked look at Sonic Movie 2 Knuckles design
In a major Sonic Movie 2 leak from the set of Sonic The Hedgehog 2, various shots of the filming at Fort Langley have shown most of the returning actors, including Jim Carrey as Dr. Robotnik and James Marsden as Tom. However, fans are most intrigued by a set of models on the set which show Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles together on the street.

Sonic’s model conforms to his appearance in the Sonic Movie, which of course was famously heavily redesigned, and his best friend Tails was confirmed by the stinger ending of the movie. However, Knuckles has only been rumoured until today. This Sonic Movie 2 Knuckles leaked photo seemingly confirms the major character’s appearance for the first time. There’s even been a brief Sonic Movie 2 video leak, too.

As these are just models, the Sonic Movie 2 Knuckles photo doesn’t necessarily show exactly what Knuckles’ design will look like in the movie. However, Knuckles does at least appear to be taller and beefier than Sonic, similar to how he appears in the Sonic Boom cartoon series.

The Sonic The Hedgehog 2 movie is now in full production for an April 2022 release, which is more news than fans have had on the game side, as no new Sonic game has been announced since the release of Team Sonic Racing. That may change as we get nearer to the Sonic Movie 2 release date, however.
