Apex Legends mobile is currently in closed beta, though that hasn’t stopped data miners from delving into the code and uncovering secrets. The current test build contains references to four unannounced Apex Legends Mobile game modes. It’s currently unclear whether these are exclusive to the standalone iOS and Android title, or could also come to the main game. Either way, here’s the need-to-know on the 1v1, 3v3, Team Deathmatch, and Elimination match types.
New game modes coming to Apex Legends Mobile
Apex Legends Mobile could be getting 1v1, 3v3, Team Deathmatch, and Elimination game types. The iOS and Android Apex Legends Mobile app contains hidden references to these new matchmaking options within its game code.
Shrugtal, an Apex Legends data miner with a proven track record, recently broke the news on Twitter. Most of the new match types are self-explanatory, though the leaker speculates that Elimination could be a take on the classic attack/defense bomb defusal mode.
There are string references in the mobile build to:
1v1
3v3
Team Deathmath
Elimination
(Some CS:GO / Valorant Bomb Defusal mode?)Will get a video out on this soon. Lot of talk about.

With a majority of the audience already playing Apex on alternate platforms, many of the comments question if these modes will eventually come to PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and PC. It’s impossible to say with any certainty right now, though there’s seemingly no guarantee.
EA and Respawn are calling the application “a new version of Apex Legends” in development “specially for mobile.” As a result, there may not be content parity between all versions of the game. Apex Legends Mobile players won’t be able to cross-play with users on PC and consoles, for example.
