Resident Evil fans fell in lust with the towering vampire Lady D from the moment she was first revealed, and now at last they can actually play as her with the new Resident Evil Village playable Lady Dimitrescu mod. Thanks to PC modders, it’s now possible to swap Ethan Winters out and play as the dominating Lady Alcina Dimitrescu in Resident Evil 8, including during the unlockable Mercenaries game mode. Here’s how to do so, just try not to have too many dreams about it.
How to install the Resident Evil Village playable Lady Dimitrescu mod
Lady Dimitrescu can now be played in Resident Evil Village thanks to the help of user xRaq along with the assistance of FluffyQuack’s wonderful mod manager, which now has full support for Resident Evil 8 just like the rest of the Resident Evil games.
In order to get the mod working, first head over to xRaq’s page on NexusMods and download the latest version of the Resident Evil 8 playable Lady Dimitrescu mod. Next, get the FluffyQuack Mod Manager. Extract it, run it, choose the option for Resident Evil Village, and then drag the ‘Play as Alcina Dimitrescu’ mod file over to the manager’s window. It should now appear as an option on the list, which should be checked. Click ‘Launch Game’ and Ethan’s character model has now been replaced with Lady D’s, ready for all that hot vampire lady-on-vampire lady action.
It should be mentioned that the mod still uses Ethan’s model as a base, so don’t expect to be ducking under doors or staring eye-to-eye with the other Lady D, nor does the model include Alcina’s terrifying knife-hands. If using Otis_Inf’s excellent advanced photo mode mod, which was recently used to unlock the biggest mystery in the post-credits scene, there’s a second version of the Lady D mod to allow players to take fantastic screenshots.
If Lady Dimitrescu isn’t suitable, then it’s possible to play as Chris Redfield instead. For more entertaining RE8 mods, players have already added Barney the dinosaur and Thomas the Tank Engine into the PC version, and the Fly Swatter mod is being used for all sorts of predictably naughty purposes with Lady D’s daughters.
