Dying Light 2 has finally come out of its hole with a new subtitle, release date, and more than a few special editions. Given how reports of the game suggested that it was going through some rough times, Techland showed that things might be okay over in Poland (although that can’t be confirmed or denied until the game comes out). Aside from the promising gameplay demo, one of the biggest demonstrations of Techland’s commitment to the game was in the Dying Light 2 Collector’s Edition, as it has a big zombie statue with a UV lamp on it. And while that was the most eye-catching part of the flurry of editions, here’s in each one of them.
Dying Light 2 Pre-Order Guide: Standard Edition
The Dying Light 2 Standard Edition is exactly what it sounds like. This version is just the base game, which will retail for $60 on all platforms, even the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
People who pre-order this will also get the Reload skin pack.
Dying Light 2 Pre-Order Guide: Deluxe Edition
The Dying Light 2 Deluxe Edition is the next step up from the regular edition and will be $80 for both the digital and retail versions. Pre-ordering will also net the Reload skin pack. However, only those who buy this version physically will get a steelbook. It includes the base game, some digital deluxe items, and the first piece of story DLC. These deluxe items are:
- “Legendary” skin pack
- Exclusive weapon charms
- Wallpapers
- Digital comic
- Digital soundtrack
- Digital artbook
Dying Light 2 Pre-Order Guide: Ultimate Edition
The Dying Light 2 Ultimate Edition is only available for digital owners of the game and will be $100. This includes the base game, aforementioned deluxe edition items, all two story expansions (that will come out at a later date), and the ultimate digital items. These items are:
- A two-hour night XP boost
- Crafting items
Pre-ordering this version will also yield the Reload skin pack.
Dying Light 2 Pre-Order Guide: Collector’s Edition
The Dying Light 2 Collector’s Edition will only be available physically and will be $230. It will include everything in the physical version of the deluxe edition, but will also come with:
- A hard copy of the artbook
- UV flashlight
- Map of the city
- Three postcards
- “Voice of the City” sticker pack
- A thank you letter from the game’s creative director
- A Collector’s Edition box
Pre-ordering this edition will also unlock the Reload skin pack.
