Sony has confirmed that Gaikai streaming of PlayStation 3 titles will come to PlayStation 4 starting next year in the United States.
According to the company (via Siliconera) select "critically acclaimed" PS3 games will be supported through Sony's cloud service for play on both PlayStation 3 and PS4 consoles. There are also plans to bring the same support to PS Vita, but that will be finalized after home console support is good to go.
Do you think Sony's attempt to amend the issue of backwards compatibility with Gaikai streaming will prove to be a success? They did manage to get Remote Play working between PlayStation 4 and Vita, so there's reason to hope they can pull it off.
