Uncharted on PC

Uncharted coming to PC for the first time in the Uncharted Legacy of Thieves Collection

The Uncharted series is making its way to the PC for the first time ever. The Uncharted Legacy of Thieves Collection was revealed at today’s PlayStation Showcase and surprised viewers by revealing that select games from the franchise would appear on a platform other than PlayStation. Unfortunately, PC players won’t get to experience Nathan Drake and party’s adventure from the beginning since the list of Uncharted games coming to PC is incomplete.

Which Uncharted games are coming to PC?

So far, only two Uncharted games are confirmed for PC:

Unfortunately, Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, which contains remasters of the first three games, is not slated for a PC release as of now. That means that PC players might find themselves a bit confused now and then. However, since the Uncharted games are relatively self-contained, picking the series up at Uncharted 4 isn’t too detrimental.

The Uncharted Legacy of Thieves collection will also come to PS5, remastering the two games and giving them some functionality specific to that console. Sony didn’t reveal whether there’d be an upgrade path for those who already own Uncharted 4 and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy or not. If we had to take a guess, we’d say that the best-case scenario is that individual upgrades will be available for either game for a small fee. However, given Sony’s approach to next-gen upgrades, those who own the games on PS4 might be stuck paying full price for the Legacy of Thieves Collection.

Since these are remasters, we wouldn’t expect any new content to be available. The trailer shows some improvements in textures and lighting, but these games were released recently enough that they didn’t really feel dated in the first place. A touch up and improved framerates will make them feel brand new all over again.
