Considering how scarce PS5s are right now, the alleged Walmart stockpile is a big shock and the TikTok is unsurprisingly gaining a lot of traction.

While it seems like PS5s are sold out everywhere, it’s clear that Walmart appears to have an awful lot in stock. Based on this viral TikTok from user hishamhasan3, Walmart’s stockroom is littered with thousands of brand-new and sealed PS5 consoles.

Of course, it’s important to take the video with a pinch of salt, as we don’t know all the contextual details. This may not even be a Walmart stockroom, as there’s nothing in the five-second clip to confirm it. As such, it’s important to stay vigilant.
Due to the shocking amount of PS5 consoles in the clip, it’s unsurprisingly gone viral on TikTok. It’s garnered over 3 million views and 360,000 likes at the time of writing. Commenters predict that there will be a big Walmart PS5 drop in the near future, which would make sense, given the sheer volume of consoles in the clip. It’s also thought to undercut scalpers, as dropping so many at once means bots will struggle to snap up all the stock.
The clip will no doubt irk those who are still hunting down a PS5 a year after the console’s release. Despite supply issues meaning the console isn’t readily available, it’s still Sony’s fastest-selling console ever, as per The Verge. However, it’s only releasing in sporadic drops, meaning you can’t just go out and buy one.
