Gotham Knights Nintendo Switch

Gotham Knights could be coming to Nintendo Switch

A Gotham Knights Nintendo Switch release might be on the cards, going by a new jobs page at developer Warner Bros Montreal. So far, a Gotham Knights Switch announcement has not been forthcoming, despite the game being confirmed for last-gen platforms alongside PS5 and Xbox Series X. However, this new hire at WB Montreal suggests that either Gotham Knights will come to Nintendo Switch, or it has another game in the works that will.

Will there be a Gotham Knights Nintendo Switch release after all?

Gotham Knights Nintendo Switch

A Gotham Knights release on Nintendo Switch seems to be all but confirmed by the appearance of a new hire being sought at developer WB Montreal, which calls for a Quality Assurance Lead in certification for Nintendo. The job description states that it’s a full-time position and the person will be “in charge of planning and driving the Nintendo Certification efforts on our various projects.” WB Montreal wouldn’t be looking to hire someone if it wasn’t considering putting its games on Switch. At the moment, Gotham Knights is the only project in the works at WB Montreal.

While it has been strongly rumored, if not confirmed, that WB Montreal has multiple games in the works — with the main rumor being that the studio is also working on a Superman game — any other game will likely be at least a couple of years away and may not be on Xbox One/PS4. It makes most logical sense that Gotham Knights is being firmly considered for a Nintendo Switch release, possibly a streaming-only Cloud release like Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy.

However, whether Gotham Knights on Switch will be released alongside the other versions or later is unknown, especially as the game doesn’t have any sort of release date just yet — although it is reportedly “coming soon” and fans hope the release of merchandise suggests Gotham Knights will be out early 2022.
