Fortnite is coming back to iPhones thanks to Nvidia

Fortnite is heading back to iPhone, thanks to upcoming support from GeForce Now. Though it’s not as simple as heading to the App Store and downloading the game, the ability to play Fortnite in some way is surely going to please fans waiting for the iOS release to return.

    • This service is currently in closed beta. Join the waitlist here for access.
  2. Use the GeForce Now account to sign into the service through the Safari browser.
  3. Select Fortnite from the list of games.
  4. Play Fortnite with touch controls.

When is the Fortnite GeForce Now release date?

Fortnite is releasing on GeForce Now during the week of January 17.

Those who signed up first will get access during that week, while those signing up later will be accepted in batches “over the coming weeks.”

Though Fortnite was already available on the GeForce Now service, it did not support touch controls which are required for iPhone users to enjoy the game. This new version of Fortnite on GeForce now is tailored specifically to mobile users.

It’s worth noting that games played through GeForce Now are being streamed from Nvidia’s hub. This can often mean gaming experiences are hindered by latency, which is especially frustrating to deal with in an online shooter where quick reactions can win or lose games.

It remains to be seen how well Fortnite on iPhone plays using GeForce Now. Thankfully, mobile users won’t have to wait long to find out.

In other news, it’s Nidhogg’s birthday! This fighting game might have basic graphics, but the gameplay was super addicting.

Season 3 of The Mandalorian is hotly anticipated by many. Here’s what we know so far about the next big adventure.
