A number of Fortnite Star Wars leaks and rumors have begun circulating that seem to point to a new, much bigger crossover for either the end of this chapter or the next. A collab-focused Fortnite Star Wars Chapter 3 Season 1 in the same style as Spider-Man this chapter with new skins is the central rumor, with the return of the existing crossovers like Mandalorian and Rise of Skywalker pointing to something bigger happening.
Rumor: a Fortnite Star Wars season is coming
Rumors and leaks are pointing to a proper Star Wars collaboration event coming to Fortnite sometime in the next couple of months, as various Star Wars-themed items all seem to be making their way back onto the store. Many of them have been updated, too, and the leaks even include the reveal of new items and emotes. Fortnite fans and insiders are hoping that this sudden surge of activity regarding Fortnite’s Star Wars items is pointing to something bigger, like a full chapter-long event.
As for now, multiple existing Star Wars items have been datamined as getting an update and re-release soon, including a new emote for The Mandalorian, updated First Order cosmetics, and the re-adding of all the lightsaber files and controls.
While Epic occasionally brings collabs back for a short time, it rarely brings back every part in a crossover unless something special is happening, like the way all the DC Comics content came back for DC Fandome, but Star Wars Day isn’t until May 4th, and that will happen while Chapter 3 Season 1 is still going on.

Regardless, fans are hoping to see a few more Star Wars skins appear in Fortnite soon, with Darth Vader, Ahsoka Tano, and Obi-Wan Kenobi being the most popular choices. Everyone will just have to wait and see, though.
What is the Fortnite x Star Wars season start date?
The Fortnite Star Wars season will likely release on March 20, 2022, alongside the Chapter 3 Season 2 start date. Otherwise, it may be earlier in March if Epic is planning on starting it at the end of Season 1 instead.
