Exoprimal Release Date Capcom PS5 PS4

Exoprimal Is Capcom’s Dinosaurs vs. Mechs Game Releasing in 2023

The dinosaur-hunting title Exoprimal has been revealed by Capcom during PlayStation’s State of Play, with the Exoprimal release date set in 2023 for PS4 and PS5. Exoprimal features a host of characters using exoskeleton suits to face off against a stampede of various dinosaurs in the middle of an abandoned urban city. The whole game feels like it combines the conceit of Earth Defense Force if you had to fight all of the characters in the classic fighting game Primal Rage.

Capcom reveals what Exoprimal is about

First off, you’ll want to take a peek at the full two-minute reveal trailer (posted below) for Exoprimal, starring Ivy the android with her weekly dinosaur forecast. For some reason, Earth has faced two years of dinosaur hordes dropping slowly from various suspended vortexes throughout the world. Humanity’s only hope are soldiers handling exo-fighter suits, blasting raptors and T-rexes with hails of bullets.

Kellen Haney, an associate manager of social media for Capcom, adds more details about what to expect in Exoprimal in an official PlayStation blog. After explaining that the new IP features multiplayer co-op battles in “teams of five players”, she lays the setting for the game’s story:

“Let’s set the stage, first: The year is 2043. For reasons unknown, mysterious vortexes have been opening up, unleashing endless swarms of dinosaurs upon the modern world. We’re about to see a vicious fight for survival between the brave Exofighters of the near future, and ferocious creatures from the distant past who threaten to drive humanity toward extinction.”

Each Exosuit will have clearly defined roles in what seems to be the familiar tank, assault, and support roles. Better yet, you can swap between various Exosuits during a mission so your team can change compositions depending on the type of pre-historic threat.

In other news, Gotham Knights has finally received a release date as well and Square Enix has revealed a Final Fantasy 35th anniversary website where details of FF7 Remake Part 2 and FF16 could appear in the future.
