Diablo 2 Resurrected

Diablo 2: Resurrected Free Trial Running Now On Xbox

Xbox players wanting to try Diablo 2: Resurrected but not wanting to resort to a full purchase can make use of a free trial that’s happening now. Throughout the free trial week, both Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S players have three hours to venture through the world of Sanctuary to see how many of its secrets they can discover.

When is the Diablo II: Resurrected trial available?

Diablo 2 Resurrected Trial

Diablo II: Resurrected will be available to all Xbox players between March 15 and March 21 from the Xbox Store. Players only have three hours to try out the game, meaning just Normal difficulty will be available seeing as the higher difficulties and Hardcore mode have to be unlocked. Players can take part in online co-op, although this will need an Xbox Live Gold or Game Pass Ultimate membership. We’re also not sure if co-op is restricted to fellow trial players or those who own a copy of the game too.

Any progress made during the week will be transferred to the full version of the game if players decide to make a purchase afterwards. The standard edition of the game is currently on sale at 25% off until March 28, although the Prime Evil Collection and the Diablo III Prime Evil Upgrade remain at full price.

All players will soon be able to make use of the upcoming Patch 2.4, which will include some of the first changes to be made to the game in more than 10 years. There will be the ranked competitive Ladder system, changes to Uber Diablo progress, many alterations to classes, more unique monsters in level 85 areas, and other miscellaneous gameplay tweaks and improvements. You can see the full patch notes on Blizzard’s website. The update has just finished its second round of testing with Blizzard promising they’ll see us “soon”.

In other news, Wordle’s archive site has been removed after the game’s takeover by the New York Times. Elsewhere, The Sims 4 Neighborhood Stories has received an update that allows Sims in non-active households to make decisions without player involvement.
