Skull and Bones Gameplay Leak Shows off Multiplayer and World Events

A new leaked gameplay video for Skull and Bones has given fans a look at some of the mechanics and gameplay features they can expect to find in the upcoming pirate game. The footage comes from a technical test build, although it is not clear exactly at what stage of development the video comes from and how up-to-date it is.

What’s included in the Skull and Bones gameplay leak?

According to the streamable video, which has been widely shared online, players will start off their careers in Skull and Bones as a relative unknown in the world of piracy. With just a small ship and crew, gamers must level up by finding treasure and battling against other players and AI enemies. This will eventually unlock more options when it comes to bigger and better ships along with larger crews.

Among the reveals in the leak is the fact that Skull and Bones will have a Destiny-like hub area where players can sell gear, craft items, and accept new quests. Additionally, this location will give users the opportunity to socialize with other pirates and establish teams. The video also showcases a morale system that will see players having to carefully manage their own crew, keeping up a steady supply of food, water, and goods.

Finally, the footage gives a glimpse of the type of combat players will find in Skull and Bones, which looks like a more in-depth version of what was included in Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. As well as fighting against other pirates, the game will offer the ability to take part in world events that include besieging forts and ambushing merchant ships. While Skull and Bones can be played alone, it will encourage co-op gameplay and many missions will recommend a minimum number of players.
