Square Enix has finally revealed the Tactics Ogre Reborn release date, along with pre-order bonuses for both the Premium Edition and Standard Edition. The game will release on November 11, 2022 for PS5, PS4, PC, and Nintendo Switch, confirming an earlier leak of the release date from PS Store price tracker site PSDeals (thanks to our sister site PlayStation Lifestyle). The game is a remake of the 2010 PSP version of Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together, which is itself based on the original classic in 1995.
Tactics Ogre Reborn pre-order bonus details
The upcoming remake will come in two versions: the Standard Edition ($49.99) and the Digital Premium Edition ($59.99). Both are available for pre-order, and you can use the game’s official website to guide you to the right storefront given your chosen platform and whether you want the Standard Edition as a digital or physical copy. However, the Switch version of the game will not have a digital release, and the Steam version will unsurprisingly not have a physical release.
The Digital Premium Edition will come with a digital mini soundtrack of the original Tactics Ogre game as a pre-order bonus. It will include both the Standard Edition and the soundtrack of the game, which features re-recorded live versions of several Tactics Ogre favorites. The pre-order bonus for the Standard Digital Edition will instead only be three select songs from the soundtrack.
According to the full description for the remake, Tactics Ogre: Reborn promises high-definition graphics, overhauls to the controls and UI, and a completely revamped UI. Cutscenes will be available both in English and Japanese. As a point of difference to the 2010 remaster, it will use a unit-by-unit leveling system as opposed to a class-wide level management system. Purchasing the PS4 version of the game will get you the PS5 digital version at no additional cost.
In other news, the Pokemon Go Bug Out event will debut three new Pokemon next week, and a Steam Deck client update will add a hot weather temperature warning today.
