She-Hulk Episode 1 Runtime Revealed Ahead of Disney Plus Premiere

The She-Hulk: Attorney at Law episode 1 runtime has been allegedly revealed ahead of its premiere, revealing how long it’ll take to watch the first entry in upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe series. With each MCU series offering vastly different lengths for their episodes, it is typically a mystery as to whether the shows will be closer to a half hour, an hour, or somewhere in between. However, this has seemingly been revealed ahead of schedule for the new show.

What is the She-Hulk episode 1 runtime?

The season premiere of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law will reportedly be 35 minutes long, including credits. Insider Amit Chaudhari — who has prior history with accurately reporting runtimes — claims that episode 1 will be 2-3 minutes longer with the additional dubbing and subtitle credits. This puts She-Hulk at the shorter end of the spectrum of live-action MCU series runtimes. With the exception of WandaVision, the runtimes for live-action MCU season premieres have all been around 50 minutes.

WandaVision remains the show with the shortest season premiere with 31 minutes, which matches that show’s old-fashioned sitcom aesthetic. She-Hulk is set to have a unique comedic voice of its own, having been described by Kevin Feige as a “half-hour legal show” inspired by Ally McBeal, Legally Blonde, and Seinfeld.

She-Hulk stars Tatiana Maslany as Jennifer Walters, a single attorney in her 30s who becomes a 6-foot-7-inch green superhero and must get trained to be a Hulk by her cousin, Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo). Ruffalo reprises his iconic role from the MCU, and Tim Roth will also star as Emil Blonsky, a role he previously portrayed in The Incredible Hulk (2008) and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021).

The first episode of She-Hulk will premiere on August 18, 2022. It will be available to stream on Disney Plus, and new episodes will be released every Thursday. The first season will run for nine episodes, and the premiere will be written by Jessica Gao (Rick and Morty) and directed by Kat Coiro (Marry Me). This show has the potential to be a fourth-wall-breaking, Hulk-smashing success.
