Diablo 4, Overwatch 2, and Call of Duty Confirmed For Xbox Game Pass

Xbox boss Phil Spencer has confirmed that Diablo 4, Overwatch 2, and Call of Duty are heading to Game Pass, as part of the company’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard.

Spencer made the announcement in a blog post in which he discussed Xbox’s plans for the acquisition. Noting that Xbox planned to make Activision Blizzard’s catalog of games available on the service, the CEO of Microsoft Gaming announced that several key titles would be added to the platform in the future.

Will Activision Blizzard games be available on Game Pass at launch?

“We intend to make Activision Blizzard’s much-loved library of games – including Overwatch, Diablo and Call of Duty – available in Game Pass and to grow those gaming communities,” Spencer wrote. “By delivering even more value to players, we hope to continue growing Game Pass, extending its appeal to mobile phones and any connected device.”

It’s unclear if these games will be available on Game Pass at launch, or if Microsoft plans to add them in the future. With Overwatch 2 being free-to-play, it will presumably use Xbox as a launcher, given that it will be free on all available platforms anyway.

Spencer also noted that Xbox will continue to make series like Call of Duty playable on PlayStation and other devices, saying that the company believes in “gaming for everyone, everywhere.”

In other news, insiders claim that the Nintendo Switch will soon receive a ton of GameCube remasters. Assassin’s Creed Mirage’s DLC was also leaked.
