Respawn: Titanfall Won’t Have Split-Screen, Still A “Full Fledged Game”

Respawn Entertainment's upcoming shooter Titanfall won't have a separate single-player mode, but that doesn't mean it isn't a complete game experience that merits its $60 asking price.

Speaking on Twitter, the studio's community manager, Abbie Heppe, addressed fans' concerns about the inherent value packed into Titanfall, assuring the masses that "it is still a full fledged game." In another tweet, Heppe explained why the game's multiplayer is beefier than the traditional FPS online experience, saying, "there is a campaign multiplayer mode that has more story elements than the classic MP modes."

While this information should be common knowledge to the gaming public at this point, the stigma that a multiplayer-only game isn't a complete experience has definitely proven to be a concern among gamers on a budget.

Unfortunately, if you were hoping to invite a friend over and hop into multiplayer split-screen, you're going to be disappointed, as the official Respawn account confirmed in a tweet that split-screen play is "not a feature in Titanfall." Bummer.
