Nintendo revealed a new challenger for Super Smash Bros. Wii U & 3DS today in the form of Little Mac, hero of Punch-Out and conquerer of big scary boxing dudes. Can Little Mac take down other signature Nintendo heroes?
I think so! Little Mac has a neat power bar that charges up to a Knock-Out. You can see that ability in action in the trailer above while the trainer encourages Mac from just outside the ring. "Smash ain't no joke!"
Little Mac's Knock-Out ability lets him score a huge upper-cut on Bowser and Mega Man, but I think it might take a lot more finesse to pull off in-game. From the looks of it, he seems to support a brawler style, but the most effective fighters will use him to score points after other combatants have whittled away health for Little Mac.
Shigeru Miyamoto recently confirmed that Super Smash Bros. Wii U & 3DS would launch late in 2014, while recent roster additions Lucario, King Dedede, and Rosalina have excited fans. Nick Tan is collecting the full roster here as it's updated. We're still hoping to go hands-on with Super Smash Bros Wii U & 3DS soon, so stick with GameRevolution for more.
