Square Enix Confirms New Mana Game Launching Soon

Let's start with the good news: the rumors of a new Mana game have proven to be true. Square Enix revealed today a trailer for the newest inclusion, Rise of Mana. The video is all in Japanese, though, so for us non-Japanese speaking people, let's enjoy the pretty pictures.

 

And now, for the less-good news: Rise of Mana will be a free-to-play action-RPG for mobile devices. And as of yet, the company hasn't announced any plans for an international release. So those longing for a return to the classic style of Secret of Mana may be waiting a while longer, and those waiting for a console Mana, longer still.

But, I mean, Rabites, am I right?

When I'm not gaming, I like culinary adventures, moviegoing, and the Intert00bz. Ask me about my favorite web shows! I can get down on some anime, my favorite sports are boxing and baseball, and I can even get in tune with that parapsychological vibe, even though it's well-known and well-documented I'm kinda a pansy with horror stuff. (I think they get a kick out of assigning me those games for review.)

I'm also single and available, but sorry gamer girls, I play with joysticks.
