Reggie Should Replace Iwata as President of Nintendo, Says Pachter

Wedbush Securities analyst Michael Pachter believes the current Nintendo CEO and president, Satoru Iwata, should be replaced if the company ever hopes to recover from its current financial situation. In fact, the analyst believes Nintendo of America boss Reggie Fils-Aime would be able to do a much better job.

"To be honest with you, and it's not gonna happen, Reggie would be a far better president," Pachter said on the latest episode of Pach-Attack! "I think Reggie is a very consumer-focused, capable executive. Love the guy. They're not gonna hire a western guy to run Nintendo, it's gonna be a Japanese guy. But I think Nintendo just needs different leadership."

Do you agree with Mr. Pachter? Is it time for Iwata to step down and Reggie to step up? Sadly, Reggie isn't Japanese, so it would likely never happen. But hey, one can dream, right?
