Bungie, the legendary developer behind the Halo series and the brand-new shared-world shooter franchise Destiny, has announced that development on its new IP has finally wrapped. That's right, folks, Destiny has officially gone gold ahead of its release on September 9th.
In a weekly update, the studio made the exciting announcement, also providing a few extra details about the game, including the fact that there will be no weapon trading between players.
"As for swapping irons in the Tower? Nope," Bungie said. "We want you to earn ‘em. You should be able to tell a badass story for every sweet jewel in your arsenal. Once you earn them, the various Guardians under your account will be able to trade them, but weapons belong to the players who acquire them through action and bravery."
Destiny launches on September 9th for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, and PS3. Will you be getting it on day one?
