In addition to the Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth edition of the Nintendo 3DS XL, Nintendo has announced at the GameStop Expo in California two additional commemorative models: a red-and-blue Super Smash Bros. 3DS XL and a NES-styled 3DS XL. Both will retail at $199.99.
Available a few weeks before the launch of Super Smash Bros. for 3DS on October 3 in North America, the SSB-styled 3DS XL will be available on September 19. Its cover will feature a dozen of the game's characters on the roster including Samus, Link, Mario, and Little Mac.
A week after the release of Super Smash Bros., the NES-styled 3DS XL will release on October 10 and the case looks like the classic NES controller. Kotaku's Stephen Totilo shared a photo of the this NES 3DS XL on Twitter.
