While Halo: The Master Chief Collection packs a whole lot of content on a single disc, there are two major absences: Halo: Reach and Halo 3: ODST. While neither star Spartan 117, there's still a lot of love for both titles, and many (including myself) would love to see Xbox One versions of these games as well.
Fortunately, 343 Industries is well aware of this fact and considering the possibility of bringing both games to Microsoft's new-gen console. Executive producer Dan Ayoub told Videogamer:
With Halo 5 coming out we really wanted to focus on those Master Chief-centric games. That was part of it. Quite honestly, the other part of it was just disc space. We're squeezing everything we can out of the available space for this thing.
What I can tell you is probably the biggest question we get from people is, what about ODST and Reach. What I can say is it's certainly not in our development timeline or planning right now [but] we've heard that question so much that it has seeped into our collective subconscious. I think enough people have asked about it that we are thinking about it.
Halo: The Master Chief Collection launches on November 11th, exclusively for Xbox One. Is anyone else struggling to contain their excitement for Halo 2 Anniversary's campaign?
