Hogwarts Legacy Reddit Leak Reveals Game Info Before Release Date

A Hogwarts Legacy Reddit leak has been revealed on the official subreddit for the game in a thread that shares a wealth of information nearly a week before the release date.

The user who wrote the post, called “Got my acceptance letter!”, has been independently verified by the mods of the subreddit, but the thread has reportedly since been taken down by a copyright notice from either publisher Warner Bros. or developer Avalanche Software. The user also no longer has a profile on Reddit.

As you might suspect, the Reddit leak for Hogwarts Legacy confirms many details about the game, particularly the first few hours of gameplay where your character learns about the Hogwarts school and gets sorted into a House.

For verification, the user posted a screenshot of his PS5 screen with the game downloading the file. We won’t be sharing any details revealed in the thread, of course, so you don’t have to worry about spoilers.

According to the subreddit’s users, Warner Bros. has been actively looking at threads on the Hogwarts Legacy Reddit and using copyright takedowns on any posts that spoil anything about the game. This will likely continue to happen until the review embargo for the game lifts.

Those who have the Hogwarts Legacy Deluxe Edition or Collector’s Edition will have three-day early access to the game on February 7 for Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and PC, with the standard release date being February 10.
