Deep Rock Galactic is celebrating its 5th anniversary this year. The event runs between Thursday, March 2, and Thursday, March 16. Alongside a raft of in-game events comes a new DLC collection and Legacy Mode.
Deep Rock Galactic’s Legacy Mode lets you play the game in its original form
The DLC released to celebrate Deep Rock Galactic’s fifth anniversary is paid, but Legacy Mode is free for everyone.
This option will let players experience the game as it launched in 2018, without any of the later additions and changes. Deep Rock Galactic’s player count has grown from an average count of 1,300 to 16,000 since launch, so if you’re part of the majority that joined later on, March is the perfect time to see how things used to be.
Alongside Legacy Mode comes the Supporter II Upgrade DLC pack. This adds a fresh set of weapon reskins alongside new paint jobs for weapons, tools, and robot companions. Players will also get unique Supporter badges to show off their status.
In the buildup to the event, the developers will be hosting a live stream (date undetermined) to discuss the past and future of Deep Rock Galactic, alongside more details for the anniversary event.
