The Final Halo 2 Map Getting Remade for The Master Chief Collection Is… [Update: New Gameplay Footage]

[Update] A fresh look at some Warlord gameplay has surfaced online. Give it a look below and marvel at its buttery-smooth framerate.

[Original] 343 Industries has unveiled the sixth and final map from Halo 2 getting remade for Halo: The Master Chief Collection. The map is Halo 2's Warlock, which has been renamed Warlord in this anniversary remake.

The news was revealed in a video interview IGN conducted with Certain Affinity's Max Hoberman, the lead designer behind the original Halo 2's multiplayer. You can check out the debut gameplay footage of Warlord below.

Warlord joins Zenith (Ascension), Stonetown (Zanzibar), Bloodline (Coagulation), and Shrine (Sanctuary), rounding out the six map remakes from what was arguably the best library of Halo multiplayer battlegrounds ever.

Let us know what you think of the 343i's decision to save the last slot for Warlock. As a fan of smaller, area-based maps, I must say I'm quite pleased.
