Over the last two days, Microsoft has signed two deals for Call of Duty that focus on cloud gaming, furthering the idea that it wants to focus as much as possible on the cloud gaming side of its business.
New Microsoft CoD deals with Ubitus and Boosteroid
Today, Microsoft has signed a deal with Ubitus, another cloud gaming service. Ubitus is based in Taiwan and has helped to bring games to Nintendo Switch, such as Control, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, and Resident Evil 7. In a tweet, Phil Spencer said the following:
Yesterday, Microsoft announced that they’ve created a partnership with the cloud gaming provider Boosteroid to support Xbox PC games, as well as Activision Blizzard games such as Call of Duty, to the cloud streaming service. Boosteroid is the single largest independent cloud gaming provider in the entire world.

This news comes after a long cycle of updates about the Microsoft-Activision Acquisition, with anti-monopoly boards looking into whether the deal is legitimate.
