House Flipper 2: someome cleaning a wall.

Renovation Simulator House Flipper is Getting a Sequel

If you enjoyed House Flipper, the simulation game that allows you to “flip” run-down properties for money, you’ll be pleased to know a sequel is on the way.

Buy houses and turn a profit once more

A recent trailer from publisher and developer Frozen District gives a taste of what’s to come in House Flipper 2. There’s also a demo coming to Steam, which will be available between June 19 and June 26.

At the moment, there’s no release date for the sequel. However, the teaser does show that the game will be available on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, as well as PC.

There’s been a trend over the years of indie games that simulate real-world tasks and chores. Such examples include FuturLab’s PowerWash Simulator, Skyhooks’s Lawn Mowing Simulator, and, let’s not forget Truck Simulator, which has had numerous iterations. All of these have enjoyed a modicum of popularity, especially among the indie scene.

Of course, the OG in all this is Microsoft’s Fight Simulator, which has been going for over 40 years at this point. In fact, it was recently announced at the Xbox Games Showcase that Flight Simulator 2024 is coming next year. Look out for that one on Game Pass.

The genre is evidently popular among a lot of gamers. There just seems to be something satisfying about spray cleaning vehicles, going on long haul road trips across Europe, or flying over a city skyline that sits well with people.

So to reiterate, House Flipper 2 is on the horizon, hopefully on course for a 2023 release, so you’ll be able to buy, renovate, and sell homes in a digital world again. You can wishlist it over on the game’s Steam page.
