Xbox Executive Says Platform Will “Make Amends” for Street Fighter V’s Exclusivity

Capcom announced Street Fighter V as a title exclusive to PlayStation 4 and PC at this past weekend's PlayStation Experience convention, though Xbox One owners will be happy to hear that Microsoft will do its best to achieve a similarly exclusive title.

Speaking with a fan on Twitter, Xbox executive Phil Spencer said that he'll do his best to balance PlayStation's exclusive.

@broggiedoge Love the idea of game franchise bartering, I'll work on making amends for SF.

While it's true that Street Fighter remains an incredibly popular brand regardless of platform preference, I think a lot of gamers would point to the exclusive Rise of the Tomb Raider as a fair counterpoint for the PlayStation and PC gamers lofting Street Fighter V over Xbox fans.

Don't forget to read our feature on the PlayStation Experience here and be sure to let us know in the comments whether you think Street Fighter V's exclusivity will hurt Xbox One sales in 2015. Will the game even make it out next year?
