If you love cars, then I hope by now that you've played Project CARS . It's one of the best racing simulators in years . That not only means that you get to drive in several of the most esteemed vehicles on the planet, but visit locations that dreams are made of.
Project CARS has a stellar track list featuring over 45 tracks. They all have different features, varying degrees of challenge, and personalities. But what are the best tracks that Project CARS has to offer? In my opinion, there are five that stand out in the crowd. I detail each in the gallery below.
5 Best Racing Tracks and Locations in Project CARS
California Highway Full
Country: United States rnLength: 12.83 miles rnTurns: 107 rn rnCalifornia is one of the only locations in the world that has a Mediterranean climate, one that attracts visitors from around the world. Driving through California Highway is a special experience that mixes difficult topology and hairpin turns with potentially distracting scenery. rn rnUnlike most tracks you encounter in racing simulators such as Project CARS , California Highway is not a professional track. Rather, it's a route made by developer Slightly Mad Studios specifically to give players a fun location to race and cruise at. It succeeds in a monumental way by being one of the game's best and most beautiful destinations. rn rnHere's a video of a lap through the first stage of California Highway in a RUF RGT-8.
Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca
Country: United States rnLength: 2.23 rnTurns: 11 rn rnLaguna Seca has earned a reputation as being the best racing location in North America. Unlike not only the other tracks on this list, but most prestigious courses in Europe, it's a relatively short track at 2.23 miles in length. What it lacks in length it makes up for in brilliant design as it features one of the best configurations of any track in the world. Instead of focusing on high speeds and chicanes, it has 11 turns of varying difficulty. Its most well-known turns are 7 through 8, also known as The Corkscrew. rn rnLaguna Seca is by no means a beautiful location to visit in Project CARS , seated firmly in the center of a California Desert. So, it doesn't impress visually, but you'll be hard pressed to find a better place to test your driving skill against others.
Nurburgring Nordschleife
Country: Germany rnLength: 12.94 rnTurns: 73 rn rnYou might know of Nordschleife for the lap times marketed by various manufacturers to show off how fast their vehicle is. Others know it as the most complex track in the world. Whatever the case, Nordschleife is special... very special. It has everything you could ever want from a track whether it be the dazzling forested mountains of West Germany, the 73 turns that feature every turn type you can think of, or its unique features including the Carousel (Karussel in German) at turn 22 that challenges even the most veteran racers. rn rnIn Project CARS Norschleife is perfectly defined. Every turn is true to the real-world, and it's equally as fun to cruise through. In other words, it's a place you must spend time at if you have the game. rn rnYou can check out a full lap of the course in a P1 here .
Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps
Country: Belgium rnLength: 4.35 rnTurns: 20 rn rnThe Circuit de Spa is special in every game it makes an appearance. There's a reason it's been chosen as a premium locale for Formula One and endurance racing. Its route features many different turn types, from the high speed weave of the Radillon Eau Rouge (turn 3, 4, and 5), to the remarkably difficult to master final chicane (turn 19 and 20). rn rnCircuit de Spa is one of Project CARS most beautiful attractions, and is highly recommended as a place to visit if you want to enjoy the best visuals that the game has to offer.
Autodromo Nazionale Monza GP
Country: Italy rnLength: 3.59 rnTurns: 11 rn rnMonza is one of the best race destinations in the world. Known as the track of choice for the Formula One Grand Prix, it has a great mixture of fast straights followed by S-turns that require accurate brake points to hit perfectly. The sequence of turns 8, 9, and 10, also known as Variante Ascari, is a famous section where the best racers can overtake their opponents. rn rnSet in Italy, Monza is a woodlands location that features some great environments that show off Project CARS ' powerful graphics engine. Its stands that seat up to 137,000 people greet you with a powerful roar each time you finish a lap, reminding you that you're at one of the best places to race.
