On November 6th BlizzCon will open its doors at the Anaheim Convention Center. With several games including Overwatch and the World of Warcraft: Legion expansion on the horizon, it's expected to be a huge spectacle.
Blizzard has released its full schedule for the event, and there are a wide variety of options for fans of all its games (except Diablo). Below you can view the schedule organized by game.
Diablo 3
Friday @ 3:30PM – Diablo III Dev Talk
My Take: Although many Blizzard fans are expecting the next expansion for Diablo 3 to be announced at the show, it seems unlikely given the dry game schedule. Expect some talk about the upcoming 2.4 patch and not much more.
HearthStone
Friday @ 12:00PM – Hearthstone World Championship Round of 8
Friday @ 2:45PM – Hearthstone Exhibition
Friday @ 5:00PM – Hearthstone World Championship Round of 8
Friday @ 7:45PM – Hearthstone Exhibition
Friday @ 3:30PM – Hearthstone: What's Next
Saturday @ 10:00AM – Hearthstone: Fireside Chat
Saturday @ 10:30AM – Hearthstone World Champtionship Semifinals
Saturday @ 12:45PM – Heroes of the Storm World Championship Grand Final
Saturday @ 2:00PM – Hearthstone World Championship Grand Final
My Take: HearthStone remains a top title on livestreams due to its competitive scene. A huge tournament will be host with a lot of money on the line, and a new expansion for the game is likely to be unveiled. Clues hint at something Uldum and/or treasure oriented.
Heroes of the Storm
Friday @ 2:15PM – Heroes of the Storm: Hero Design
Friday @ 4:00PM – Heroes of the Storm
Saturday @ 9:45AM – Heroes of the Storm World Championship Semifinals
Saturday @ 11:30AM – Heroes of the Storm – State of the Game
Saturday @ 4:00PM – Heroes of the Storm: Battlegrounds
My Take: Blizzard is continually working to achieve balance while introducing new content to the game. It will discuss this in more than one panel in addition to hosting the semifinals of the ongoing World Championship.
Overwatch
Friday @ 4:45PM – Overwatch: What's New
Saturday @ 11:30AM – The World of Overwatch
My Take: Overwatch's beta is expected to release within the next two months. It won't have a large presence at BlizzCon, but will be a significant release for Blizzard in 2016.
StarCraft 2
Friday @ 11:45AM – StarCraft II WCS Global Finals
Friday @ 12:15PM – StarCraft II WCS Global Finals Round of 8
Friday @ 12:30PM – The Future of StarCraft II
Friday @ 4:45PM – StarCraft II: Units – From Blueprints to Battlefield
Friday @ 6:30PM – StarCraft II Exhibition
Saturday @ 10:00AM – Starcraft II Sounds from the Void
Saturday @ 11:00AM – Legacy of the Void Launch Celebration
Saturday @ 12:30PM – StarCraft II WCS Global Finals Semifinals
Saturday @ 4:00PM – StarCraft II WCS Global Finals Grand Final
Saturday @ 4:00PM – StarCraft II Simulcast
Saturday @ 5:00PM – Starcraft II Finals Simulcast
My Take: The end of the current era of StarCraft 2 will come to an end with the arrival of Legacy of the Void. Although participation numbers have dwindled for the franchise, it remains a popular competitive game and therefore will have a huge presence at the show with a WCS tournament. In addition, Legacy of the Void will be detailed will be discussed in full detail just days before its release of November 10th.
World of Warcraft
Friday @ 11:30AM – World of Warcraft Arena World Championship Group Play
Friday @ 12:30PM – World of Warcraft: Legion – World and Content Overview
Friday @ 1:45PM – World of Warcraft Arena World Championship Semifinals
Friday @ 2:15PM – World of Warcraft Cinematics – The Road to Legion
Saturday @ 1:00PM – World of Warcraft: Legion – Game Systems
Saturday @ 2:30PM – World of Warcraft Q&A
Saturday @ 3:30PM – World of Warcraft Arena World Championship Grand Final
My Take: The Warlords of Draenor expansion has had mixed reception with players, so Blizzard is quickly turning the attention to Legion. Hype has been very positive up to this point, and its showing at BlizzCon will be important to keeping it that way. In addition, the road up to Legion as well as an arena tournament will be part of the show.
