At this point our E3 2017 schedules are set. Our staff of six will be seeing more than 40 upcoming games at this year’s show.
There are 10 games in particular that we can’t wait to play, and for a variety of reasons. In most cases, these games appear fun to play, and we want to confirm our suspicions. However, there are also a few games that serve a greater purpose, whether it be establishing a potentially great new IP, or carrying the torch of one that might mean the difference between life or death.
Below are 10 games that we’ll be playing at E3 2017 that we are excited to check out.

10 Games We Can't Wait to Play at E3 2017
Call of Duty WWII (Activision)
Just in the knick of time when we were craving a new World War II game, Activision made a big move with an epic showing of this year's Call of Duty game.
Elite: Dangerous v2.4 (Frontier Developments)
We're Elite: Dangerous fans over here at GameRevolution, and the mystery surrounding its upcoming v.2.4 update has us on the edge of our seats.
Harvest Moon: Light of Hope (Natsume)
Natsume has taken direct inspiration from Stardew Valley , not only in how it's structuring its upcoming Harvest Moon game, but in the fact that it'll be available on PC and Switch.
Hunt (Crytek)
Crytek has been in bad shape for a few years, and desperately needs its next release to do well. Thankfully, Hunt looks like an attractive game.
Knack 2 (Sony)
Don't laugh. Knack might not have been a very good game, but even then we believe the franchise can become something much greater.
Metal Gear Survive (Konami)
With Hideo Kojima having left Konami, Metal Gear 's future hangs in the balance. It'd be unfair to say that the franchise has no chance of ever being great again, but we're skeptical.
Middle-earth: Shadow of War (Warner Bros.)
The first Middle-earth game was one of the most surprisingly great titles of this generation. Its sequel has tremendous potential, and we can't wait to try out the improved Nemesis system.
Project Scorpio (Microsoft)
We have a general idea of how powerful Project Scorpio is, but we want to try it out for ourselves.
Star Wars Battlefront II (EA)
We're in the mood for a new Battlefront , so it's a good thing we'll be checking out the latest addition to the series this Saturday.
Super Mario Odyssey (Nintendo)
Super Mario Odyssey is one of the most attractive upcoming games of 2017. It hasn't been playable, until now, and soon we'll see if this game can hang with the big boys of the Mario franchise.
