Tell GR: Are You Still a South Park Fan?

Back in the ’90s everyone from teenagers to twenty-somethings loved South Park, with the show positioning itself as the cooler, riskier counterpart to The Simpsons and offending parents worldwide. However, in recent years the show’s popularity has somewhat dwindled, with long-time fans of the series dropping off as Trey Parker and Matt Stone continue to struggle with maintaining a consistent level of quality throughout the show’s seasons.

Now South Park: The Fractured But Whole‘s release is upon us, and as detailed in my review earlier today, it’s a step down from the quality of 2014’s The Stick of Truth. Much like the animated show it’s based upon, The Fractured But Whole is entertaining despite many of its jokes failing to land, and it represents another decline in quality that’s representative of why the show feels far less vital in 2017 than it did in the early 2000s.

However, while there are many (myself included) who have grown less fond of the show over the course of the past few years, it still has a strong fan base and a large number of viewers tuning into its 21st season. With The Fractured But Whole releasing this week, we want to know what GameRevolution’s readers think of the show and whether or not it’s past its sell-by date.
