It’s God of War week and those of who aren’t Jason haven’t been able to play the game yet, so we’re all biting our nails in anticipation of its release. However, as we can’t play it just yet, we’ve each been occupying ourselves with a bunch of other games. We’ll drop them as soon as God of War comes out, of course, but here’s what we’ve been playing this week anyway. Make sure to let us know what you’ve been playing in the comments section below!
Paul Tamburro: I’ve been playing Overwatch after I finally tried out its Retribution event. It’s okay. I’m not really sure why these bland horde modes are so appealing to so many people, but whatever floats your boat, I guess. GR’s Mack Ashworth also kindly sent me through a few of the old Carmageddon games after learning I’d never played them, so I’m going to give those a shot before God of War lands on my doorstep.
Aimee Hart: I’m currently playing Layers of Fear: Legacy on the Nintendo Switch. In other, unrelated news, I’m also in need of a whole new change of underwear. Joking aside, the game runs superbly on the Switch and really makes up for the lack of good horror games on there. When I’m not scaring myself silly you’ll find I’m playing Overwatch instead. The Retribution event is still going strong and I’ve got to say it’s one of my favorite events that Blizzard have done so far for their newest FPS. Can’t wait to see what they’ve got up their sleeve for the next event.
Bradley Russell: SSX 3 on Xbox One because 2018 is weird. Seriously though, they don’t make ‘em like this anymore. It’s still as fun as I remember and holds up amazingly well. Forget God of War, this is one snowy peak I won’t be getting down from anytime soon.
Jason Faulkner: Had a busy week so I haven’t been able to play much. Still hitting God of War in anticipation of the big launch tomorrow. Other than that I reinstalled Divinity: Original Sin on my PC, but haven’t had time to do much more than start it up and move around a bit.
Alleef Ashaari: I’m still playing Ni No Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom and it’s been an absolute blast! Classic JRPG elements with an almost perfect mix of RTS-like and kingdom management gameplay is a blend I never thought I would like so much. Now I’m just going to wait for God of War to be released in a few days and my life will be complete.
