Let’s check out the best November 2018 games.

November 2018 Games – Overkill’s The Walking Dead

November 2018 Games

Based in the same universe as the hit comic book series, Overkill’s The Walking Dead will release for PC on November 6. A first-person shooter that places a lot of emphasis on cooperative play, the game follows four original characters named Maya, Aiden, Grant, and Heather who must help one another with his or her own unique abilities in order to complete varying survival-based objectives. It’s set in a zombified version of the nation’s capital, Washington D.C., and incorporates a blend of stealth and RPG elements.

According to the game’s brand director, the game is being made solely with adults in mind. He promises that the narrative will feature “different things emotionally that aren’t investigated much by the TV show,” which hopefully indicates that fans may be getting a product that’s as engrossing as Telltale’s series. Though PS4 and Xbox One users will be missing out on this experience in 2018, the title’s set to arrive on consoles on February 6 next year. Here’s hoping it lives up to the reputation that Clementine made for herself throughout her journey through the apocalypse.

November 2018 Games – Hitman 2

November 2018 Games

Longtime assassin fans may be pleased to know that Hitman 2 will not follow the episodic format its predecessor used when it releases on November 13 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Developed once again by IO Interactive, the title will play very similarly to the 2016 game, which isn’t a bad thing at all. As the elusive Agent 47, players must hunt down a mysterious entity known as the Shadow Client and dissemble his army before it wreaks havoc across the world.

The title is confirmed to include six mission areas, with Colombia and Miami revealed so far. It’ll also include a new cooperative multiplayer mode called Sniper Assassin, which tasks agents with taking out targets within a set amount of time using only a sniper rifle. If brainy stealth games are your cup of tea, you really can’t go wrong with Hitman 2 this November.

November 2018 Games – Spyro Reignited Trilogy

November 2018 Games

The original three Spyro games —  Spyro the DragonSpyro 2: Ripto’s Rage and Spyro: Year of the Dragon – are set to make their return as full-blown remakes on PS4 and Xbox One this November 13 through the Spyro Reignited Trilogy. Built entirely in Unreal Engine 4, the collection will include re-recorded lines from Tom Kenny, the man who voiced the purple dragon for two of the three titles. It will also feature Stewart Copeland’s original musical compositions, which will undoubtedly result in a nostalgia rush for tons of lifelong fans (myself included).

November 2018 Games – Fallout 76

Fallout 76 Vault Dwellers, November 2018 Games

Bethesda’s controversial Fallout 76 will launch this November 14 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The ninth game in the post-apocalyptic franchise, this entry promises to change the familiar single-player experience by introducing an online multiplayer component in which a group of four will be able to explore an open world version of West Virginia called “Appalachia.”

Staples of the series like the V.A.T.S. and SPECIAL systems will return, though the game won’t rely on NPCs in order to convey a story. Rather, players will be tasked with discovering clues about the world around them through robots, holotapes, and computer terminals. There’s a strong emphasis for fans to create their own stories in Fallout 76. Here’s hoping there are plenty of diehard fans willing enough to give the game a chance.

November 2018 Games – Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu/Let’s Go Eevee

November 2018 Games

The Pokemon franchise is finally set to appear on the Nintendo Switch this November 16 via Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Pokemon Let’s Go Eevee. Meant for a casual crowd, each title is a remake of 1998’s Pokemon Yellow, which had trainers choose everyone’s favorite electric mouse as their starter pocket monster.

Familiar features like gym leaders return, though the pair opts to allow trainers to catch Pokemon using a mechanic similar to the franchise’s mobile-based title, Pokemon Go. Speaking of the hit sensation, players will be able to transfer their collection over to Let’s Go Pikachu or Let’s Go Eevee, and vice versa. The pair truly seem like two iterations fit for a new generation of Pokemon enthusiasts.

November 2018 Games – Battlefield 5

Battlefield 5 Story Trailer,November 2018 Games

Seeking to build off the success of Battlefield 1, the World War II-centric Battlefield 5 will release on PS4, Xbox One, and PC on November 20. Featuring a slew of new multiplayer offerings like “Tides of War,” “Firestorm,” and “Grand Operations,” the franchise promises to immerse players in the heat of battle by increasing resource scarcity and rotating matches across different stages to simulate an actual war.

For those interested in playing solo, the game will see the return of war stories similar in vein to the aforementioned Battlefield 1. The battle royale mode will be built around the series’ “core pillars of destruction, team play, and vehicles,” though it won’t be available until March next year.

November 2018 Games – Darksiders 3

THQ Nordic, November 2018 Games

The Darksiders series makes its long-awaited return when its third iteration, Darksiders 3, launches for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on November 27. Taking place around the same time as the prior two games in the franchise, it follows Fury, the “Rider of the Black Horse,” as she hunts down the seven deadly sins. Though she takes orders from the Charred Council, there’s reason to believe that not everything is what it seems.

This action-adventure title promises to give fans the most diverse arsenal the series has seen so far, as whips, swords, daggers, and magic can all be used in combat. With this in mind, enemies are much more powerful and aggressive than ever before. Hopefully Darksiders 3 lives up to the challenge of staying relevant in a post-Dark Souls world.
