I'm still not finished mourning about Roger the kangaroo's omission from Tekken 7 thanks to irritated animal activists, but as the game's Western release approaches I've begun to get over it and at least enjoy new trailers and info that have been slowly trickling out. Today Bandai Namco released a new trailer for the game entitled "No Glory for Heroes," using flashy CG and a handful of in-game footage to lay out the game's premise, general backstory, and focus on mortal feuds between both its fighter roster and the factions of the world in which they live.
I probably won't end up caring about fighting-game fiction mumbo jumbo once I'm actually playing, but I'll admit I enjoy the indulgence while waiting for the game to release. The trailer is below, and described by Bandai Namco as follows.
Tekken 7 is old news in Japan (it released on consoles back in 2016), but will finally reach the rest of the world this summer on June 2nd, gracing PS4, Xbox One, and PC. We previously had the chance to interview Katsuhiro Hirada and pick his brain regarding the game, so be sure to explore his answers thoroughly if you're curious about what was going through his mind for the series latest entry. We also previewed the game, which you can check out here.
