Released at the start of this year, Tekken 8 is the newest iteration of one of the most popular fighting franchises in gaming. Now, some new content is being teased, with the Tekken 8 Season 1 roadmap giving a brief overview of what fans can expect.
Tekken 8 Season 1 Roadmap revealed
As noted in a recent video posted on X – as well as the game’s official Steam page – Tekken 8 is gearing up for its next round of content. In honor of nearly thirty years of Bandai Namco‘s most popular series, there’s plenty to look forward to in future updates to the eighth installment.
For starters, there’s going to be some updates to the game’s battle balances, a new stage in the guise of a seaside resort, a new photo mode, and more.
The video posted on social media also teases a new playable character, Lidia Sobieski. She will be getting added to the game for Season 1 this summer, along with the aforementioned new features.
For those who don’t know, Lidia is relatively new to the Tekken series, having made her first appearance in the seventh game, also as DLC. Other content for Tekken 8 has also been outlined, including long-time favorite Eddy Gordon becoming a free character later on in the year, as well as plans for additional modes, including Online Practice.
