FIFA Pro Claims Ignorance Over Meaning Behind Homophobic Slur

FIFA 19 1.02 Update Patch Notes – What’s Changed in the New Update?

The FIFA 19 1.02 update is now live on PS4 and Xbox One. Not only is this EA’s first real crack at tweaking and fixing various bugs and glitches, there’s also been an injection of fresh content, including new celebrations. Alongside the Ultimate Team changes and a big penalty/set piece fix, it all amounts to a game-changing update. So, what are you waiting for? Get ready to dive into the FIFA 19 1.02 update patch notes.

FIFA 19 1.02 Update – Set Piece Power Fix, Shooting Bug, More

If you’ve been playing FIFA 19 religiously, you will have noticed a serious error when it comes to the shot power for free kicks and penalties. Before the 1.02 update, players will more often than not see their free kick and penalty takers put 100% power on set pieces despite inputting far less than that. It often resulted in spurned chances and heartbreaking misses. You’ll be pleased to know that’s been fixed.

Elsewhere, another irritating shooting bug has been buffed out. As EA explains, “Sometimes, when the player requests a regular (laces) shot, they will get an inside of the foot shot animation instead.” Many felt it was an issue with Timed Finishing but, as the patch notes show, this isn’t quite the case.

Other fixes include replays now being shown in full, unless both players decide to skip, which is a godsend for those Ultimate Team howitzers. There’s even a new celebration for Jesse Lingard. Presumably the Manchester United player’s ‘Jlingz’ celebration which involves spelling out his initials using his hands is now in the game. He’s 25.

Finally, and hilariously, the Petr Cech career mode glitch which saw the shot-stopper rock up to contract negotiations in his trademark scrum cap has been changed. He now has a tie and no helmet. Just the way he likes it.
