Three new NES games announced for the Nintendo Switch Online April lineup

There are three new NES games that have been announced to join the Nintendo Switch Online April lineup, and they’re pretty great. If you’re not familiar with the Nintendo Switch Online service, it launched back in September 2018 and is Nintendo’s version of Xbox Live and PlayStation Plus. You can get a subscription for only $3.99 a month or $19.99 for a full year (or you can currently get it for free with Twitch Prime). With a subscription, you get access to online play and access to a vault of over 25 great NES games, with new games added every month. You can see a full list Nintendo Switch Online games right here. While there are already some great games to play, there are even more coming with the recently announced Nintendo Switch Online April lineup! All of the games listed below will be available to play on April 10.

Published in 1986, Super Mario Bros: The Lost Levels is a sequel to the hit game Super Mario Bros. This side-scrolling platformer has 32 challenging levels that cross over eight different worlds. This sequel is known for being quite difficult, so it definitely isn’t for the faint of heart.

Punch Out!! Featuring Mr. Dream

Punch Out!! Featuring Mr. Dream is a re-release of the popular Mike Tyson’s Punch Out, where fighters face Mr. Dream in the final fight instead of Mike Tyson. Play as Little Mac, who has dreams of becoming a renowned fighter, after being given the opportunity to fight in the World Video Boxing Association circuit. You’ll have to take on various opponents and work your way through the circuit to see if you have what it takes to become champion.

Star Soldier

Nintendo Switch Online April

Star Soldier is a single-player shooting game released in 1989. Players will assume control over a starship and are responsible for defeating as many Starbrains as possible before they take over the galaxy. Do you have what it takes to defend the universe from these supercomputer threats?
