Sega has officially unveiled the Yakuza Kiwami 2 PC release date. The action-adventure game will land in the Steam store on Thursday, May 9, and it will cost $29.99 (£24.99) to buy. Posting a reveal trailer on its official YouTube channel, Sega gave fans a glimpse of how the game looks on PC, as well as the confirmed release date for this version.
Yesterday we covered the news that Sega had teased a PC port of the title on their Steam storefront. Those rumors have now been confirmed after this announcement, and PC fans of the series won’t have to wait long to get their hands on it.
The PC port will come complete with fully optimized 4K resolution and unlocked framerates, which will allow PC players to take in the story with the best visuals possible. Customizable controls are also on offer for those who wish to use different keys to bind their controls to, as well as other graphics options that can be utilized by more powerful computers.
Additional content, that wasn’t available in the game’s original edition, has been brought to this remaster, too. Players can enjoy updates features such as the Cabaret Club simulator and Clan Creator. Extra story chapters, that allow you to take control of fan favorite cast member Goro Majima, will be available to explore as well.
Yakuza Kiwami 2, which was released on PS4 in December 2017 in Japan and August 2018 worldwide, tells the story of an all-out war between rival clans in the Tojo and Omi. Taking on the role of Kazuma Kiryu, players must try to broker peace between the warring factions, despite their reluctance to re-enter a world that they had left behind.
Pre-orders for Yakuza Kiwami 2 on PC are already live on Sega’s Steam page, so head on over if you simply can’t wait to buy the game when it is released next month.
