While he missed The Download by a few hours, showing up late is better than never and when you're Snoop Lion, you have a newly spiritual excuse for your tardiness. Taking inspiration from Snoop's love of Kung Fu movies, 505 Games has released Way of the Dogg for Xbox 360, putting players in the gi of America Jones, "the toughest street fighter in town."
When his girl is taken, AJ "must step up and take his fighting to a whole new level under the watchful eye of Master Snoop." America will use the Way of the Dogg to beat-down the opposition with Snoop tracks like "Who am I," Gz and Hustlas," "From Tha Chuuch To Da Palace" and "Pump Pump," none of which I think I've actually heard before.
Snoop Dogg says the game's inspiration came from watching Kung Fu movies and acting out the moves with friends. "I wanted Way of the Dogg to pay tribute to that feeling and bring that same excitement, fused with my music, to the game."
Way of the Dogg is available on Xbox 360 for 800 MSP (or $10) now and is headed to PlayStation and mobile platforms soon. I'd like to get my hands on the game. It's not every day you get to learn Kung Fu from Snoop Dogg. Thank you video games.
