Half-Life: Alyx‘s G-Man has spoken for the first time in 12 years, with voice actor Mike Shapiro delivering the character’s first new lines in over a decade.
G-Man delivered a New Year’s message on Mike Shapiro’s Twitter account, warning viewers of “consequences.”
The message is as follows:
“Should old acquaintance be forgot? Well, after so much… time, some things can prove difficult to remember. See you in the New Year, and do prepare for consequences, hm?”
G-Man last appeared in Half-Life 2: Episode Two, which released back in 2007. Fans have widely requested that Valve release Half-Life 3, though the company made the shock announcement this year that it was developing the VR-only Half-Life: Alyx.

Half-Life: Alyx is set to release on all PC-compatible VR headsets in March 2020. The game takes place before the events of Half-Life 2, with players controlling series’ favorite Alyx Vance rather than Gordan Freeman.
