The Last of Us Part II is finally scheduled to release this month following a number of delays. The sequel to Naughty Dog’s PS3 swansong is filling the same role on PS4, but will gamers ever get to play it on other platforms? Keep scrolling to find out if there are The Last of Us 2 Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC versions on the horizon.
Is The Last of Us 2 coming to Nintendo Switch?
Unfortunately, no The Last of Us Part II Switch port is in development. That means there’s no The Last of Us 2 Nintendo Switch release date to look forward to.

While Nintendo fans would no doubt love to get their hands on TLoU 2 for Switch, it isn’t likely to happen anytime soon. The game is developed by Naughty Dog, which is a studio owned by Sony. Since Sony is the manufacturer of PlayStation, it’s unlikely that they’ll port one of their biggest exclusives to a competing platform.
There’s also the question of whether Nintendo’s hybrid Switch hardware could actually run The Last of Us 2.
Is The Last of Us 2 coming to Xbox One?
There’s no Xbox version of TLoU 2 in development. As follows, there’s also no The Last of Us 2 Xbox One release date for us to share.
Similar to the Switch situation, it’s highly unlikely that Sony will ever elect to put one of the biggest PS4 exclusives on Microsoft’s Xbox platform.
Is The Last of Us 2 coming to PC?
A The Last of Us Part II PC port hasn’t been announced. Naturally, that means there isn’t any The Last of Us 2 PC release date at the moment.
Unlike the other console platforms, Sony has recently shown willingness to bring PS4 games over to PC. Porting TLoU 2 would be a huge deal and go a long way in helping the Japanese company to establish a PC gaming foothold.
A current Naughty Dog job listing is seeking a Graphics Programmer with a “thorough understanding” of NVIDIA GPU architecture. Since the PS4 and PS5 run on AMD, some have speculated that this points to an upcoming PC version.
