Get ready for a likely Halo Infinite gameplay reveal! it’s looking more and more likely that we’re going to get our first look at the gameplay of 343 Industries’ upcoming game Halo Infinite as part of the Xbox Games Showcase — and it’s only a few weeks away.
Earlier today, Microsoft made the announcement that the Xbox Games Showcase would be taking place later in July. Naturally, this summer gaming stream is going to feature a bunch of games (many of which are likely to debut on the upcoming Xbox Series X console), but the original announcement didn’t mention any specific titles.
It wasn’t long before we got our first big confirmation for one of the games of this presentation. A tweet from the official Halo Twitter account signaled that the game would be making an appearance, although it didn’t go much into details — the tweet simply states “Get Ready” and includes an animated GIF from the “Discover Hope” trailer.

This tweet alone can’t be taken as evidence of us seeing gameplay this month, but there’s a little more to the story than just that. Several sources speaking to VGC are saying that this presentation will be a Halo Infinite gameplay reveal. If these rumors prove true, this would genuinely be our first look at actual gameplay instead of a cinematic trailer.
Thus far, we’ve only been treated to a couple of teasers about this upcoming game from 343 Industries, the first of which dropped at the game’s E3 2018 reveal. Since then, we’ve only seen cinematic trailers and the occasional tidbits of news, but no actual gameplay. Microsoft had previously confirmed that the game would be making an appearance at July 2020’s Xbox 20/20 event, but that original announcement also declined to mention whether or not we would be seeing any gameplay.
