Indiana Jones Gameplay Will Be Shown at Xbox Developer Direct

It’s been a few years since Bethesda announced a new Indiana Jones was in the works, and we’re about to be treated to some gameplay. According to developer MachineGames, the upcoming title will be shown off at this year’s Xbox Developer Direct event.

Dev team “can’t wait” to show it off

In a recent tweet, the Wolfenstein studio is said to be excited about the upcoming “gameplay reveal” of the Xbox exclusive Indiana Jones. According to a blog post over on Xbox Wire, other games being given an in-depth look include Avowed by Obsidian Entertainment and Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2, which is being developed by Ninja Theory.

As for the new Indiana Jones game, not much is known about it so far other than it’s being developed in conjunction with Bethesda. As such, there’s no launch window for it yet, but it is expected to be available on Xbox Series X|S and PC.

On top of that, MachineGames appears to also be working on a new Wolfenstein installment. Again, however, little has been said about the project, so it’s likely to be some time before we get a release date.

The Xbox Developer Direct 2024 is a Microsoft-led event that gives studios the opportunity to showcase some of their upcoming work. It kicks off on January 18 at 3 p.m. ET/12 p.m. PT, after which Zenimax Online will “host The Elder Scrolls Online 2024 Global Reveal,” which begins at 4 p.m. ET/1 p.m. PT.

Whether we’ll get a potential release window for Indiana Jones is not certain at this stage. Hopefully, one will be inbound soon, especially seeing as the game was officially announced back in 2021.
