In Yakuza: Like a Dragon, players will be tasked with finding the locations of 10 kappa statues hidden throughout Yokohama. As part of the Kappture the Kappa quest, Ichiban and crew must scan high and low throughout the whole city to find these stone kappa statues.
Taking a picture of the ten kappa statue locations in Yakuza: Like a Dragon is one of the most challenging quests in the game. There are no indicators when the player is near a statue, and they frequently blend into the background due to their gray color. Fortunately, we found all ten after several hours of looking.
Where to find all 10 Kappa Statue locations in Yakuza: Like a Dragon
Even with the map above, finding the kappa statues can be tricky. Some of them are in some very hard to spot locations. Also, make sure to wait until the Part-time Hero menu is unlocked before attempting to photograph the kappa statues. Simply taking a picture of them isn’t enough. For it to count toward the Kappture the Kappa quest, the image must be taken when the “Take Picture” prompt pops up.
Kappa Statue Location 1 – S. Sakura River St.
This is likely the first kappa statue players will see in Yakuza: Like a Dragon. It can be found near the river at the southmost point of S. Sakura River St. During the daytime, a young boy is standing near it that players can speak with.
Kappa Statue Location 2 – Sunrise St.
This kappa can be found a few doors sound of Hamako’s “restaurant,” sitting inside of a shop.
Kappa Statue Location 3 – Survive Bar
This kappa is in the upstairs apartment of Survive Bar. Go past the bar and take the stairs up. Inside the upper part of the closet, players will find this kappa resting on its side.
Kappa Statue Location 4 – Fukutokucho
This kappa can’t be found until after Chapter 7. North of the building labeled Fukutokucho on the map, there is a set of steps leading up to apartments. If players stand on the third floor and look toward Fukutokucho, they’ll see this kappa on a balcony across the alley.
Kappa Statue Location 5 – Romance St. (Back Alley)
If players straight out from the door to Romance Workshop, they’ll find an alleyway that runs north-south with a small parking lot in it. In the northeast part of this parking lot, a kappa statue can be spied through the fence.
Kappa Statue Location 6 – Restaurant Row
After Chapter 5, players can head up the steps in the alley called Restaurant Row. On a rooftop in the first open area, this kappa can be photographed.
Kappa Statue Location 7 – North Jinai Station
This statue is directly across from Mirai batting cages at the northwestern-most part of the map.
Kappa Statue Location 8 – West Jinai Station
In the West Kinai Station area of Yokohoma, there’s an intersection right next to an elevator. If players stand on the road, they can peer into the elevator and snap a picture of this kappa.
Kappa Statue Location 9 – Hamakita Park
Right next to the Dragon Cart building, there are two shop trucks. Inside of the white one, next to the shopkeeper, is a kappa statue.
Kappa Statue Location 10 – Chinatown
This kappa is hard to spot. It’s in a niche between two buildings.
