Is Ed part of the Cowboy Bebop 2021 Netflix cast? The first trailer for the Cowboy Bebop live-action series has been released by Netflix, along with confirmation that the anticipated anime adaptation has a release date of November 19. However, the big question on every fan’s mind is whether or not Cowboy Bebop live-action Ed the hacker has been cast or will be in the show in Season 1. Here’s the answer.
Is Ed in Cowboy Bebop 2021 on Netflix?
Ed will apparently be featured in the live-action Cowboy Bebop 2021 Season 1, although it may be as either only a cameo appearance or a reference rather than a full character in the show.
Ed, a.k.a. the hacker Radical Edward, was confirmed as being part of the Netflix show in some form thanks to an interview at Polygon with showrunner André Nemec, who told fans waiting to see Ed in live-action that they “will be… very delighted when they watch the season.” This certainly isn’t full confirmation, but it sounds very likely the fan-favorite hacker Ed will appear in the show. Ed isn’t mentioned in the cast list but they are often teamed up with corgi Ein in the anime, who is a big part of the Netflix show and trailer. However, if the show follows the anime’s storyline at all the earliest Ed could conceivably appear is in Season 2.

Is Ed a girl in the Cowboy Bebop Netflix show?
Ed is a teenage girl in the anime, which isn’t always made obvious to all viewers given the anime art style, and will likely be a girl on the Netflix show too when Ed finally makes her live-action appearance either in Season 1 or Season 2.
Cowboy Bebop 2021 Season 1 launches on Netflix on November 19, featuring John Cho (Sulu in the JJ Abrams Star Trek movies) as Spike Spiegel and Elena Satine as Julia.
