The best STG44 loadout in Call of Duty: Vanguard emphasizes its default strengths while reducing its weaknesses. A stock STG44 has average ammo capacity and above-average accuracy at short and medium range. It has decent stopping power, but power drops off at range, and its stability is too low to get off those long shots.

The above loadout attempts to increase damage, bullet velocity, and range without sacrificing accuracy. The .30 Russian Short 30 Round Mags are key to this build as they significantly increase the STG44’s punch. Fortunately, we’re able to counteract the negative recoil and accuracy modifier from using those mags with other attachments.
Best perks to use with the STG44
With the STG44, we use:
- Perk 1: Ghost
- Perk 2: Radar
- Perk 3: Lightweight
Ghost protects players from spy planes and is practically essential. Radar brings back the ability to see players firing an unsuppressed weapon on the minimap. Finally, Lightweight increases movement speed, which helps offset the negative modifier we got from the mag attachment.
